Past Meeting Report

The Northern California Manx held their Second Annual ‘Traa dy-liooar’ Christmas Cooish on January 16, 2011 at the home of Kim Parker and Peter Herrera. Though there was a chill in the air, the Manx were warmed by the hospitality of their hosts.

The main menu was our version of localvore – pasta from a small but excellent nearby ‘parlour de pizza.’ It had been hoped that the entree would be garnished with Manx gorse, but it was out of season.

There was a new addition to our group, Tiffany Fargher. She accompanied her grandfather, Larry, and is now an official member of the NCM.

Somewhere between catching up on old times and settling the affairs of the world, we also discussed the upcoming NAMA Conventions – 2012 in Platteville and 2014 on Ellan Vannin.
